Combo Red Llama and TS-808
Used a JFET op-amp instead of JRC4558D.
Particularly cool pedal because you could run the effects independently, in series, OR you could blend them in parallel. Took a long time to make. The parallel sounds were amazing.
If I see this one again, I may buy it back.
Old Roland FM-2 Recreation which was released in Japan only 2013.
Nasty octave up clang. Although not a transformer based octave fuzz, the sound was like a gnarlier version of a Tycobrahe.
Muff J. Mascis Custom
Custom Caprid J requested. Asked for it in a smaller enclosure. Made this one and added a couple mods.
Custom OD boost. Told customer I'd do it if I could do whatever I wanted with the art.
Gray Box Tone Mangler
This thing can get crazy cascading notes, Octave DOWN action, and other undescribable crazieness... Only about five made.
Gray Box Guts
No Knob Heavy Fuzz
Customer request. Volume adjustable via internal trim pot.
Very responsive to guitar's volume knob.
No Knob Heavy Fuzz Guts
Old Bones Boost
A series called "Old Bones."
Probably some of my favorite pedals ever made.
Made of about 90% parts pulled from vintage radios. Took pics of the items they were removed from.
Even germanium transistors which were very difficult to find at the right specs, then to pull without frying.
I was going to make more, but the amount of time it took to hunt down and find components, then build the circuits, meant I had to charge between $5-700 each.
All sold, but I simply didn't have the time to continue making more. Plan to make more eventually. I've been saying that for 5 years though.
Old Bones guts
All transistors, resistors, and caps removed from vintage radios.
With the exception of electrolytic caps which begin to fail over time, so any of those used were brand new.
Custom Hybrid Fuzz
Half silicon, half germanium FF type... I think.
Can't remember exactly, but I think that's what it was.
Hand Wire Tone Bender
Germanium Tone Bender hand-wired P-T-P.
Made this for fun a few years back. Came out great... Was pretty proud of this one.
